How to find us
Arriving by car
- A3 from Munich or Würzburg: Take the Tennenlohe junction and follow the B4 towards Erlangen. Then take the exit Universität Südgelände. After the exit, turn left towards Erlangen or Südgelände (Kurt-Schumacher-Str.). Drive straight ahead until you can turn left into Cauerstraße.
- A73 from Bamberg or Nuremberg: Take the Erlangen-Bruck exit and turn off in the direction of Nuremberg. Follow the mostly four-lane Paul-Gossen-Straße until you leave Erlangen. Take the exit to Südgelände or towards Gräfenberg. Then turn left into Kurt-Schumacher-Straße. After a few hundred meters, turn left into Cauerstraße.
Arrival by bus
On the website of the Verkehrsverbund Großraum Nürnberg GmbH (VGN) you will find all connection information for local public transport. The bus stop for the Faculty of Engineering is “Erlangen, Technische Fakultät” for bus lines 20, 280, 287 and 293 and “Erlangen Süd” for lines 30 and 295.
Arrival by plane (airport Nuremberg)
- Direct connection with bus 30 (travel time 23 min.): Leave the arrivals hall and walk to the departures hall. There, take bus number 30 in the direction of Erlangen (for a more detailed description, see “Arrival by bus”).
- Rented car (30min): Leave the airport grounds. Follow the signs to Erlangen. After a large intersection, you will find yourself on the B4 towards Erlangen. Take the exit Universität Südgelände. Follow the directions coming from the Munich (A3).
- Taxi (30min): Let them take you to Cauerstraße 6 in Erlangen.
