Dr.-Ing. Saskia Schimmel has received funding through FAU’s “Emerging Talents Initiative” to prepare a grant proposal for high-energy computed tomography for the in-situ observation of processes occurring inside high-pressure vessels. The development will be based on the example of ammonothermal crystal growth of GaN, which also represents an initial scientifically relevant application area.
With the “Emerging Talents Initiative” (FAUeti), FAU supports highly qualified early-career researchers. The aim of the funding is to enable the submission of a project proposal to an external funding agency.
